EARNS DESIGNATION in GLOBAL Real
Mia Burmeister of
Bellator Real Estate & Development has earned the Certified International
Property Specialist (CIPS) designation, placing her among 2,000 elite real
estate professionals worldwide. The
designation was awarded to her by the
National Association of REALTORS® for completing rigorous coursework
devoted to learning international real estate practices and demonstrating
proficiency in international business.
The CIPS designation
is synonymous with advanced expertise, a global perspective, and distinct
understanding of a global buyer. As a designee, Burmeister can efficiently work
with all international buyers, including U.S. residents looking to invest
overseas, foreign buyers purchasing in the United States, as well as recent
immigrants who might be unfamiliar with real estate transaction practices in
the United States.
Licensed in both
Alabama and South Carolina, Mia Burmeister was formally recognized at the
organization’s REALTORS® Conference & Expo November 9 in San Francisco,
California. The SC CIPS Global Alliance Committee, of which Burmeister is a
member, was named as the NAR Presidents Liaison Ambassadors to South Africa and
won a Silver Level Award in this year’s Global Achievement Program.. Alliances such as this further ethics and
other programs between Realtors around the world through the NAR.

licensed with Carolina One Real Estate in Downtown Historic Charleston. She has
been a Realtor for more than 14 years in Palm Beach, Florida, the Bahamas,
Charleston, SC and is now back in her native Alabama. A member of NAR, National
Association of Realtors, the Miami Board of Realtors, Charleston County Board
of Realtors, Mobile County Board of Realtors and Baldwin County Board of
Realtors, Mia was previously on the Legislative and Technology Committees for
several years and a Realtor of Distinction, Trained in Historic Real Estate by
the National Trust for Historic Preservation while a Realtor in Charleston, SC.
Burmeister is on the Board of the HMPS (Historic Mobile Preservation Society)
and represents the HMPS as a Commissioner on the MHDC (Mobile Historic
Development Commission). Burmeister is on the International Trade Committee and
a member of Partners for Growth, an extension of the Economic Development Board
at the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.
She will soon to be licensed again in Florida with Bellator, completing
her licenses in the three states of Alabama, South Carolina and Florida to
include with her International Portfolio.
As the first Realtor in Alabama to complete the CIPS course in May 2012,
